According to reports, the Prado will be the next vehicle in line for a more robust powertrain as more competitors boost the displacement of their engines and turn up the grunt.

It would imply that the 3.3-liter twin-turbo diesel engine that is now available in the Land Cruiser 300 Series will be transferred over to the next-generation Toyota Land Cruiser Prado.
