For the Subaru Forester 2023 Review model year, Subaru updated the Forester's exterior styling and interior technology. For the 2023 version, no upgrades or changes have been made. But the cost isn't what you'd expect. After adding in the $100 increase in the destination fee, the total price of all six trim levels is $1,300 higher than it was in 2017. In December, dealers will start receiving these automobiles.

Besides the Touring, every Forester grade can choose from a single set of customization options. They cost the same for the 2023 model year. You can buy a set of 17-inch aluminum wheels and roof rails that can hold up to 700 pounds (318 kilograms) for $625 in the Base trim.

For an extra $1,165, you can upgrade to the Premium trim and enjoy features like blind-spot monitoring with lane-change assist, rear cross-traffic alert, automated emergency steering, a power hatchback, and dual USB Type-A charging points located in the rear center console.

Automatic emergency braking, an 8-inch display, a Harman Kardon sound system, and a motorized hatchback are all part of the $1,645 Sport package.

Wilderness buyers may spend $1,850 on an 8.0-inch touchscreen screen with navigation, a Harman Kardon premium sound, and a power hatchback.

Finally, for an additional $1,695, you can have the Limited package, which includes heated seats, a reverse automatic braking system, an 8.0-inch touchscreen screen with navigation, a Harman Kardon premium sound system, and automatic braking.

The Forester is available only with a 2.5-liter naturally aspirated four-cylinder engine producing 182 horsepower (135 kilowatts) and 176 pound-feet (239 Newton-meters) of torque. Energy is transferred from the engine to the all-wheel-drive system via a continuously variable transmission. Towing capacity is 1,500 pounds (680 kg), increased to 3,000 pounds with the Wilderness package (1361 kilograms).
