2023 Hybrid Toyota RAV4 Woodland Edition Goes Off-Road - For 2023, Toyota is adding a Woodland Edition to the hybrid RAV4, joining the Adventure and TRD Off-Road models. The RAV4 adopts Woodland from the Sienna minivan.

The RAV4 Woodland Edition sports Falken Wildpeak all-terrain tires and a TRD suspension with modified springs, shocks, and bump stops like the TRD Off-Road. Bronze wheels, a chunkier roof rack, mud flaps, black emblems, and exhaust tips make it seem more daring.

Woodland Edition-decorated rubber all-weather floor mats are standard. Cargo compartment has 120-volt outlet. It's only available in black, blue, and white and has the RAV4's all-wheel-drive hybrid engine, a 2.5-liter inline-four with two electric motors that makes 219 horsepower. The hybrid got to 60 mph in 7.4 seconds, 0.7 seconds faster than the standard four-cylinder.

The normal RAV4 Hybrid gets 40 mpg combined, while the Woodland Edition's EPA rating is unknown. Given the RAV4 TRD Off-lower Road's EPA estimations than other all-wheel-drive RAV4s, it may obtain lower ratings.

All 2023 Toyota RAV4 models have improved screens inside. An 8.0-inch touchscreen and 7.0-inch digital gauge cluster are standard, with a 10.5-inch touchscreen and 12.3-inch gauge cluster available. Toyota's latest infotainment software powers the touchscreens.

The 2023 RAV4 Woodland Edition has yet to be priced, but we expect it to cost more than the $38,130 TRD Off-Road variant.

The Toyota New Global Architecture (TNGA-K) platform makes this 5th-generation RAV4 ideal for city and off-road driving. The Woodland edition's Toyota Hybrid System II (THS II) and 2.5-liter 4-cylinder Dynamic Force Engine make it the RAV4 family's most efficient and powerful hybrid.

A Continuously-Variable Transmission (CVT) and Electronic All-Wheel Drive (AWD) are used solely in Hybrid versions, allowing them to function at all speeds. The rear axle motor now acts proactively to maintain the car on the driver's desired line or in slippery situations. Instead of a gearbox torque-distribution system and a rear driveshaft, the AWD system employs a rear-wheel electric motor.

RAV4 trims will be updated in 2023. Each trim level will now include the new Toyota Audio Multimedia system, which is OTA updatable and offers improved connection and ease. The system has touch and voice controls. The Connected Service Drive Connect trial or subscription gives drivers and passengers Intelligent Assistant, Cloud Navigation, and Destination Assist. "Hey Toyota" activates Intelligent Assistant to search for directions, POI, radio settings, cabin temps, and more. Cloud Navigation, the onboard navigation system, downloads map, traffic, and route data from the cloud. Google Points-of-Interest data powers POI search for the latest results. Destination Assist provides 24/7 live agent help finding the next destination.

The new Toyota Audio Multimedia supports wireless Apple CarPlay® and Android AutoTM and dual Bluetooth® phone connectivity. The RAV4 may become an AT&T Hotspot with Wi-Fi Connect, which provides 4G access for up to five devices. In addition to HD Radio®, USB data, and a SiriusXM® Platinum Plan 3-month trial subscription, an active Wi-Fi Connect trial or subscription enables the new Integrated Streaming capability, which allows the car to operate Apple Music® and Amazon Music subscriptions.

RAV4's multimedia and multi-information displays are upgraded for 2023. For 2023, LE/Hybrid LE, XLE/Hybrid XLE, XLE Premium/Hybrid XLE Premium, Adventure, and Hybrid SE all have an 8-inch multimedia screen, while TRD Off-Road, Hybrid XSE, Limited/Hybrid Limited, and Prime XSE get a 10.5-inch multimedia screen. The 2023 RAV4 Limited/Hybrid Limited and Prime XSE have a 12.3-inch Multi-Information Display. XLE Premium/Hybrid, TRD Off-Road, and Hybrid XSE grades can include the 12.3-inch display. LE, XLE, and Hybrid SE classes now include a 7-inch Multi-Information Display screen.
