The special model has black mudguards and twin gloss black exhaust tips. The 2023 RAV4 Hybrid still looks powerful. It has upright bonnet and wraparound LED headlights. The 17- and 18-inch alloy variants look elegant, but the squared-off wheel arches make it look robust. The RAV4 Hybrid looks adventure-ready in the Woodland Edition.
Bigger displays

More equipment is available, but the interior arrangement is the same. 2023 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid displays are improved. The Hybrid LE, XLE, XLE Premium, and SE have an 8-inch touchscreen (formerly 7-inch), while the XSE and Limited have a 10.5-inch touchscreen.

The range-topping Hybrid Limited has a 12.3-inch completely digital instrument cluster. XLE Premium and XSE buyers who don't like the semi-digital cluster (analog dials and a multi-information display) can upgrade to the 12.3-inch device, while cheaper versions now have a 7-inch unit.

Toyota Audio Multimedia System Upgrade

Toyota Audio Multimedia updates all 2023 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid models. Texas-based Connected Technology designed the technology using OTA upgrades. Customers can select for Intelligent Assistant, Cloud Navigation, Destination Assist, and Google POI data.

Bluetooth, wireless Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, optional 4G Wi-Fi Connect, and up to 5 device connections make the Toyota RAV4 an AT&T hotspot. Wi-Fi Connect supports Apple Music and Amazon Music subscriptions.

The 2023 Toyota RAV4 hybrid comes with TSS 2.5. Previous models had TSS 2.0. Intersection detection of impending automobiles, pedestrians, and bikes is novel. The Pre-Collision System notifies drivers visually and automatically applies brakes in situations. Emergency Steering Assist stabilizes drivers' evasive moves to prevent lane departure.

TSS 2.5 incorporates Full-Speed Dynamic Radar Cruise Control (DRCC). The function keeps a safe distance from the automobile ahead at any speed and can brake and accelerate based on the cars ahead. DRCC, Lane Trace Assist, and Lane Departure Alert help the car stay in its lane by slightly steering. Blind Spot Monitor, Road Sign Assist, Rear Cross-Traffic Alert, and Parking Assist are active safety technologies.

Powertrain stays same for SUV. TNGA-K underpins the RAV4. THS II operates with the 2.5-liter, 4-cylinder, Atkinson Cycle gas engine under the hood. A 1.6 kWh lithium-ion battery powers a front- and rear-axle-mounted electric motor. Its 10-year/150,000-mile guarantee will reassure battery-conscious buyers.

The front electric motor generates 118 horsepower and the back 55. 149/80 lb-ft front/rear torque. 219 hp peak system output. A CVT sends power and torque to the front wheels (CVT). No rear driveshaft channels torque to the back wheels. Electronic all-wheel-drive helps drivers escape low-grip conditions.

Toyota hybrid systems are efficient and top-notch. Toyota RAV4 Hybrids get 40 mpg combined (Toyota estimate). In low-speed driving, the RAV4 Hybrid can run on electric power for brief periods. Frequent braking in stop-and-go traffic recharges the battery to power the motors.

Sport, Normal, Eco, EV, and Trail modes are available. Center console rotary dials change driving
